Introducing “Being Shambhala” by Pam Turner

At this moment, our heart is beating. Our breath is going in and out.  Our whole body works without effort. We are “being”.  Is there some kind of internal intention going on that has a result?

According to Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche, we are creating Enlightened Society by being.  Our “being” is a natural reflection of our view of the world and of our meditation practice. These two influence everything we do.

As we become inspired by our internal sense of enlightened society and basic goodness, our work, our sphere of influence, our relationships with family and friends and colleagues, are marked by the reflection of our personal belief system.  By “being” we are projecting our beliefs.

To test the theory that we already are “being” enlightened society, I will be posting audio interviews with members of the Fort Collins Shambhala Center over the next several months.  It is a way to illustrate what happens when we become meditators and travelers on the Sacred Path of the Warrior. We change.

I will also be posting short bios of interviewees and information about their activities. The interviews are meant to give us insight into how meditation and awareness practice inspires them. Please give feedback and let us know if you agree that enlightened society already has seeds right here, right now.
