Our New Director: Greth Patterson!

Greth

The Governing Council of the Fort Collins Shambhala Meditation Center is pleased to announce the nomination of Greth Patterson to the position of Center Director.  Enclosed is a letter of acceptance from Ms. Patterson:

Dear Fort Collins Shambhala Community,

I am honored and pleased to accept the nomination for the seat of FCSMC Director. After interviews with the FCSMC Governing Council I was asked to continue developing the vision of enlightened society in our center. The Fort Collins Shambhala Meditation Center was the first place I practiced meditation and many of you have helped guide me on this path. I am so happy to do the same for you. In fact, I cannot think of a more elevated position to fill within the Shambhala Mandala.

I would like to take the time to thank former director Pam Turner for her service to the Center. She has always been an engaged and welcoming face. I aspire to this level of commitment and sense of engagement. I encourage all of you take take a few minutes to let Pam know what she means to you next time you see her.

My position as director is pending approval from the Kalapa Court. This is a process that all directors go through in order to serve their individual centers with integrity and the vision of Shambhala. In light of this change from one director to the next, I am inspired by the vision of enlightened society. This means that we continue to build a society and allow it to change to fit with the current needs of the wider Shambhala Community. I would love to hear from all of you about your concerns and needs as a Shambhala center.

With Love and Devotion,

Greth Patterson
