Announcing the Strategic Plan

We are happy to announce the final version of the Fort Collins Shambhala Meditation Center’s Strategic Plan!

Below are the documents produced by the Fort Collins Shambhala Meditation Center Task Force Groups. These consist of individual reports and their appendices. By the end of the effort about a third of the Community got involved and generated a great deal of positive energy.

Much follow-up remains to be done. Many of the recommendations wait for implementation until there is a new Center Director and more Council positions are filled. Yet, already a number of items have become a reality, including:

1. An outline of a marketing plan
2. The children’s program, Junior Warriors
3. A newly launched eight-week course for the study of The Profound Treasury of the Ocean of Dharma — three well-edited volumes of talks by the Vidyadhara Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche

Later this year when the new Director and Council sit down they will have a wealth of material to consider for moving forward.
