IMPORTANT RELOCATION UPDATE

Dear Fort Collins Meditation Community,

Some important information about our move this Fall is below. We have had many meetings with Brinkman Construction, United Way, FCSMC Council Members, Relocation Team, Fundraising Team, and individuals in the last week or so, and it’s time for an update. We are excited to share the following dates, depending upon our reaching fundraising goals by September 30. (More about this later.)

Timing from August 28:

Lease agreement with United Way:
Must be signed or agreed to by September 30
City Permits:
Filed and expected approval between September 30-October 15
Construction Bids:
Submitted August 26 and expected the week of September 13.   Construction will begin when city permits are approved and will take about 10 weeks.
Move-in is estimated to be in late December or early January.

Very important move information:

We plan to move from 126A West Mountain by October 31, so we will be working on the move during October. We will be storing our things downstairs at our current Center until construction is completed, thanks to our generous landlord. This is in order to save over $7,000 by not paying our normal rent at West Mountain during November and December.
Programs in November, December, and probably part of January will be held in the basement community room of United Way at 525 West Oak. We have agreement with United Way to have at least our Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday public meditation sessions there during construction.

This is all contingent upon raising an additional $33,000 by September 30!

We can do it with your financial support and help!!

Please go to our GoFundMe link below, even if you already have.
Share it with your friends on Facebook or Twitter and ask them to donate, even if you already have.  We have updated the video so it is shared easily via social media.

Our next major event is a party at Harvest of Peace, September 29, 2-4,
at 126A W. Mountain.  SAVE THE DATE . . . More info to follow.
