Learn To Meditate

Our ‘Open Public Sitting’ meditation sessions offer a friendly chance to meditate with fellow practitioners.

Free Meditation Instruction is offered at the beginning of Sunday, Tuesday, and Wednesday public sitting.

Sundays: 10:00am – Noon.  Free meditation instruction begins at 10am every Sunday morning.

Mondays: 5:00pm – 6:00pm.  Open sitting.

Tuesdays: Noon – 1:00pm.  Free meditation instruction begins at Noon.

Wednesdays: 7:00pm – 8:00pm.  Free meditation instruction begins at 7pm.

On Wednesday and Sunday, periods of sitting practice are typically 20 – 25 minutes alternating with a 10 minute walking meditation.  On Wednesday evenings, the last ten minutes or so allows time for a brief talk related to Shambhala Buddhist teachings, after which there is group discussion.  We invite everyone to stay afterwards for tea, cookies and conversation. All are welcome and participation is free of charge.  Donations are always cheerfully appreciated.

The Monday and Tuesday sitting periods are for individuals to ‘Drop-in’ and leave as desired.
