A day-long meditation intensive, or nyinthun, is a great way to deepen and energize your meditation practice.

Please Register for the Nyinthun Afternoon Session

During a nyinthun, periods of sitting meditation are interspersed with walking meditation, shamatha yoga, and time for study and reflection. We'll begin at 9:30 am with coffee and tea (provided).

Practice starts promptly at 10:00 with opening chants. At 10:45 we will have a short dharma talk.  From noon to 1 PM we'll observe silence during lunch. We'll end our day with closing chants at 2:45. Much of the day will be spent in functional silence.

Though nyinthun is best experienced in its entirety, people are free to arrive and leave at any time.  Meditators of any tradition or experience level are welcome.  Basic meditation instruction will be provided for those who request it from 10-noon.

Fridge and microwave are available if you wish to bring a sack lunch.

Cost:  Suggested donation of $5.00 per day would be welcome.
