Karma and Choice on the Path to Awakening

Please join us for first Open House of 2019

This open house talk and discussion will focus on the seemingly competing ideas of karma and free will.

Current popular usage has missed the essential point, using the word to describe everything from good parking luck to instant justice.

The basic tenet of the teachings on karma is that our thoughts, speech and actions take us to this moment and creates the ground for the next moment.  The next moment is not inevitable — however, it can be heavily influenced by the patterns we have previously set in motion.

We will explore the understanding of karma as an entry into a path of awakening when linked with the practice of meditation.

    Approximate Schedule for Wednesday evening:

7:00 PM - Public Sitting (Meditation instruction is available at 7PM)

7:45 PM - Open House Talk

8:30 PM - Reception and Discussion
