Rocky Mountain Region

Rocky Mountain Shambhala

Rocky Mountain Shambhala welcomes you!

The Rocky Mountain Region is home to a thriving Shambhala community that was first established when Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche came to the Boulder area in the early 1970s.

In addition to several Shambhala centers and groups in the Rocky Mountains, our region includes a Shambhala residential community, and two exceptional retreat centers in the Colorado mountains. People across the world travel to this area to study and practice at the Shambhala centers here.

You are invited to visit all of these urban centers and retreat centers to make new friends, deepen your practice, and experience the profound Shambhala teachings.
